Anthony Alford: Senior of Many Talents and a Bright Future

There is probably not a high school athlete that has garnered more attention this year than Petal High School's senior quarterback, Anthony Alford. With multiple Div. 1 scholarship offers on the table for both football and baseball, Anthony has kept sports writers, recruiters, and many other interested people wondering what his plans are for the future.

Anthony possesses a skill set that sets him apart from most blue chip players in that he is committing to being a two sport athlete. With as much attention his football ability has attracted, Anthony is not short on professional baseball scouts knocking on his door.

But what many may not know is that Anthony Alford approaches his academic requirements more seriously than his athletic requirements. Sporting a 3.8 GPA is just another reason college recruiters are salivating at the prospect of placing Anthony on their roster.
